Art & Craft Supply Swap In-Person

Share the creative wealth with our community and pick up something new-to-you!

Whether you want to get rid of leftover supplies cluttering up your creative space or browse to find supplies for a new project, this is the perfect event for anyone who enjoys crafting or making art.

Even if you don't have items to give, you are welcome to stop by, browse the tables, and pick up supplies to refresh your creative stash!

Adults (18+)
Teens (13-17) are also welcome.
WHAT TO DONATE
Donations must be arts and craft materials in new or gently used condition. Whether you have supplies from a forgotten project, clutter in your creative closet, or a random bag of items accumulated over time, this is an opportunity to find them a new home.
 
All materials should be usable and not expired. When in doubt, use the "bestie" rule: If you wouldn't give the item to your best friend, it isn't a good match for the swap either.
 
Please limit donations to 2 bags or boxes of supplies per person.
 
Items that have been popular in past years:
  • yarn
  • quilting fabric
  • scrapbooking materials
  • sketchbooks and other art paper
  • pens, pencils, and markers
  • acrylics and watercolors
  • blank canvases
  • paint brushes and pallets
  • rubber stamps

Items that we can't accept include:

  • completed artwork
  • house paint
  • holiday decor
  • anything that requires special disposal methods or is marked as hazardous
 
WHEN TO DONATE
We will accept donations 10:30am-12:30pm (this allows enough time for all the items to be swapped before the event ends).
 
WHEN TO SWAP
The swap tables will be open to browse 11am-1pm (while supplies last).
At the end of the swap, any unclaimed items will be added to the library's craft supplies, donated to other organizations, or recycled.
