Join Maryland Humanities for the kickoff for the 2025 One Maryland One Book programming season!

At this virtual stop on the One Maryland One Book author tour, Carole and Jeffery will engage in a transdisciplinary conversation about the background, approach, and inspirations for the book. There will also be a short presentation by the Maryland State Archives about you can research Maryland history on your own. Audience Q&A will follow.

This event is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and is presented in conjunction with the 2025 National Book Festival by the Library of Congress. Kin: Rooted in Hope is Maryland’s “Great Read” selection for the festival.
