Wait, Wait! Don't Throw That Out! -- Upcycle. Reuse. Reinvent. Online
"Wait, Wait! Don’t Throw That Out!"
What happens to library books when they're withdrawn from the collection? What is sustainability? How do you inspire connection to the environment?
In celebration of Earth Day, join us to talk about all these questions and explore new ways to reuse old stuff! Our panel of local professionals will talk about the ways they're involved in creating less waste in their business, educational, and personal footprints. You'll also learn about local resources available to re-home your unwanted goods and how to discard the things that have reached the end of their useful lives in safe and responsible ways.
As an added bonus, one lucky attendee will win an annual Maryland State Park Pass to enjoy the great outdoors all year long!
Our panelists:
Shane Brill, Interim Director of Sustainability and Regenerative Living at Washington College
Paulo Fezzi, president of CreaFill
Benjamin Ford, Chesapeake Semester and Research Fleet Program Manager at Washington College
Annie Woodall, Public Services Director at the Kent County Public Library
