Art Supply Swap In-Person
Looking to get rid of leftover art supplies cluttering up your creative space? Searching for supplies for a new project?
Come to KCPL's Community art supply swap!
Refresh your art supplies, pick up something new-to-you, and share the creative wealth with the community. We're going through our craft closets to find items that are ready for a new home and invite you to do the same.
WHAT TO DONATE
Donations must be arts and craft materials in new or gently used condition. Whether you have supplies from a forgotten project, a clutter in your creative closet, or a random bag of items accumulated over time, this is an opportunity to find them a new home.
Materials should be usable and not expired. When in doubt, use the "bestie" rule: If you wouldn't give the item to your best friend, it isn't a good match for the swap either.
Please limit donations to 2 bags or boxes of supplies per person.
WHEN TO DONATE
We will accept donations 10:30am-12:30pm (this allows enough time for all the items to be swapped before the event ends).
FIND A DONATION
The swap tables will be open to browse 11am-1pm (while supplies last).
Even if you don't have items to give, you are welcome to stop by, browse the tables, and pick up supplies!
At the end of the swap, any unclaimed items will be added to the library's craft supplies, donated to other organizations, or recycled.
